1 We used a concave cabinet scraper to smooth the tool A marks from the spindle part of the turning. This can also be done with sandpaper while the leg is still in the lathe. 1 O Use the table saw to cut off the excess at both the top 1 and bottom ends. As the full-size pattern shows, trim 7/s in. from the bottom end to leave a '/« in. high pad on the foot. Then trim the top end to establish the overall 26 in. final leg length.
