These 10 degree miters really can't be easily cut on the table saw. so Moretti penciled in the miier line on the ends of the stock, roughed in the miters with the hand saw, and then sanded to the line. Cul the opposite ends of the two sides to 80 degrees, then use the band saw to notch the ends of the sides 10 accept the end.

The Roselte

On our psaltery, the sound hole is enhanced w ith a decorative rosette. You may substilule a shaped hole in the soundboard (hearts, diamonds, eic. all look good), if you'd rather not get into making the rosette.

If you decide to include the roselte. ihe procedure is detailed in the sidebar. Once the rosette is made, use a hide epoxy to secure it in the 2 in. diameter hole in the soundboard.

The Bridge

Cul the bridge to the dimensions show n in the full size pattern and bevel the sides and ends (see Full-Si?e Pattern of E). Duplicating the exact bevels shown isn'l
