Crafts January 2002 • 35 Step 2. Shade the outside edges of the flowers with Candy Bar and the outside edges of the leaves with Black Green. Step 3. Highlight the centers of the flowers with Poppy Orange and the centers of the leaves with Sea Green. Referring to the photo of the finished piece, make five small dots of Sea Green in the center of the flower, followed by five even smaller dots of Straw Yellow in the center of the Sea Green dots. This will create the stamens of the poinsettia. Finish with several coats of clear acrylic spray for the desired appearance. Attach your hanger of choice to the top back of the plaque.
