Creative Woodworks & crafts-111-2005-Holiday, страница 22V ®®® continued from page 21 Cut along the outline of the buck. On sides A and B, cut from the "X" mark at the base of the leg all the way around the buck, stopping where the pattern line ends. Complete and release buck from wood. Cu1 along the dashed line on side B to complete and release the buck from the wood. Handle clamped for drilling. Apply the handle pattern to the wood, and cut along the perimeter. Drill a 1/16" blade access hole, and cut out the hand hole. Round over the edges on both sides of the handle using a router and 3/8" roundover bit. Using the same size drill bit used to drill the dowel hole in the bucks drill the dowel hole in the handle. Drill the hole 1-1/5" deep into the edge of the handle, where indicated by the dashed dowel hole lines on the pattern. Clamp the handle between two 2' x 6" scrap pieces for more cccurate and straight drilling. Space the bucks using 3/4"-*vide scrap wood. Apply CA glue to the hole of the last buck thai was drilled halfway through, and insert the dowel. Slide the rest of the bucks onto the dowel. (Don't forget to alternate their position!) Set them on a flat surface, making sure each buck is standing straight. Space them out, nose to tail, using a piecc of 3/4" wide scrap wood. Make alignment marks on the dowel. Make an alignment mark on the dowel at the rear of each buck. One at a time, slide each buck forward, apply a drop of CA glue to the dowel where the buck will be positioned. and then slide the buck back over the glue to the mark. Let dry. Apply CA glue to the hole in the handle. Align the bucks to the handle and insert the dowel into the hole. Apply the finish of your choice.
