Introduction

Christmas is my fcvorite holiday to design for. This little snowman bank was created to encourage children to save money throughout the year which they could then spend on Christmas gifts for their friends end family. I must admit, he's sifting on my windowsill this very moment, helping me get a head start for this coming December. All my spare change goes into him at the end of each day. I hope y'all enjoy making him.

The bonus snowman ornament pattern is one I designed for Creative Woodworks & Crafts® last year, with I he "2004" updated to "2005." It's my gift to you! Merry Christmas!

INSTRUCTIONS

Apply the Bank Front/Back pattern to one piece of the 1 /4"-thick stock. Drill blade entry holes in the coin slot and plug opening, and cut them out.

Place the wood, pattern-side down, on a flat surface. Apply two small pieces of pressure-sensitive tape to the back, and remove the tape covering. (The tape is the very same product golfers use to regrip clubs and is available at any pro shop.) Press the wood to the other piece of l/4"-thick stock. Note: The tope is very strong, and only small pieces are needed. Hand press the stock together, and don't make the mistake of thinking, "If I put it on the floor and stand on it, that should hold really well." It's likely you'll never get the two pieces apart!
