grain of the wood. When the filler begins to lose its shine, wipe it off with burlap pads, rubbing across the grain. Follow this by rubbing lightly with a clean cloth until all surplus filler is removed. Allow to dry for at least 24 hours before

applying a sealer coat of a half-and-half mixture of varnish and turpentine. When the sealer coat is dry, sand lightly and go over the piece with a tack cloth before laying on a final coat of full-strength satin-finish varnish.
