the miter gauge, to cut the '/4 in. wide by '/2 in. long tenon on each end of the rails.

Now. add glue to the rail tenons and also to the mating surfaces of the stile grooves, then assemble and clamp the two case frames. Check to make sure they look square and flat before setting

them aside to dry.

Assemble Sides and Case Frame

The sides can now be attached to the case frames. Start with the top frame. Add glue to the ends of the frame and to the lop rabbets of the two sides. Assemble the three parts, then used C-

clamps on each end rail to hold the sides securely in place.

While holding the parts with the clamps. drill and counterbore four holes on each end to accept I '/J in. long by no. 8 llalhead wood screws. Repeat the procedure to attach the bottom case frame.
